More than a restaurant, Fold’d Community Diner is a part of SOS Recovery Community Organization. Located in downtown Somersworth, NH our mission is to bring high quality dining options and workforce opportunities for those in recovery from problematic drug or alcohol use, previously incarcerated, and/or justice involved. Fold’d aims to offer a safe and supportive environment for all, whether to make an income, develop employable skills for sustainable recovery, or simply to enjoy a meal and build community. All proceeds support our 501c3 nonprofit and we are exempt from charging NH meals tax, saving patrons 8.5% off their meal.
Everyone deserves access to a fresh, sit-down meal. Through our Pay It Forward program, community members can purchase a meal, coffee, or other menu item for someone else to enjoy. Those in need of a meal can simply take a receipt from the Pay It Forward board, sit down at a table, and redeem it for a dine-in meal, no questions asked.
Created to reduce stigma and remove barriers to food access, the program reflects SOS Recovery Community Organization’s mission of meeting people where they are with dignity, compassion, and community. Our Pay It Forward board is a simple way to ensure everyone feels welcome at Fold’d.
Dinner’s On Us Suppah Club is a program created by Red’s Good Vibes in partnership with Fold’d Community Diner. For each event, Red’s Good Vibes purchases an entire dinner service in advance, then invites community members to reserve complimentary seats at the table. Everyone is welcome; there are no requirements, no explanations, and no barriers, just an opportunity to enjoy a great meal alongside others in the community.
Each meal served not only fosters community connection and togetherness but also supports Fold’d Community Diner’s workforce development program and helps sustain the mission of SOS Recovery Community Organization. It’s a simple idea with a lasting impact: Make room at the table and invite people in.
